The LGBTQ community faces a multitude of health disparities and barriers to accessing care. For many LGBTQ individuals and people with LGBTQ family members, an inclusive intake process can be just as vital as culturally relevant healthcare itself.
Our training is tailored to the specific healthcare provider audience and will equip participants with practical tools for building more LGBTQ-affirming healthcare services, resulting in improved patient engagement and healthier patients. Our nationally-known trainers are experts in providing education and professional development training for providers seeking to improve their services for LGBTQ individuals and community.

Each training and presentation includes a brief overview of the programs and services available through the Pride Center of the Capital Region. Additionally, our 15-30 minute Pride Center Information Presentations are also available at no cost for agencies, businesses, and community groups seeking to learn more about the many programs and services we offer.
Our training requires two hours minimum to build a baseline of knowledge. The Pride Center often receives feedback from audience members expressing the need for more time. When scheduling a training or presentation, we recommend considering provided more than the required minimum to allow for the most significant impact.
